Kovrio is a free AP® practice quiz site built and run by a student. This page explains, in plain English, what information Kovrio collects, why, and how you can get it deleted. Questions? Email kovrioapp@gmail.com.
Who Kovrio is for
Kovrio is for students 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think someone under 13 made an account, email us and we'll delete it.
What we collect
- Your email address, so you can sign in.
- Your password, scrambled. If you sign up with email, your password is stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form by our sign-in provider. Nobody at Kovrio can see it.
- What Google shares, if you use "Continue with Google": your email address, name, and a link to your Google profile picture. Kovrio only uses your email to identify your account.
- Your quiz progress: your scores, which topics and units you've taken, questions you've missed, and when you took each quiz.
- Anonymous usage counts: a random ID for your browser and which quizzes get finished, so we can count how many people use Kovrio. This isn't tied to your name.
- Basic technical logs: like most websites, our hosting providers may briefly record things like your IP address and browser type to keep the site running and secure.
We don't collect your name (beyond what Google shares), school, age, location, contacts, or anything else. Kovrio has no ads, no ad trackers, and no social features. Students can't message each other or see each other's information.
Stored on your device
Your browser keeps a copy of your quiz progress and your sign-in so the site loads fast and remembers you. Logging out clears your progress from that browser (it stays saved in your account). This matters on shared school computers, so log out when you're done.
How we use it
Only to run Kovrio: signing you in, saving your progress so it follows you to any device, showing your History and Insights, and counting how many people use the site. That's it.
Who else sees it
We never sell your information or share it for advertising. Kovrio uses a few companies to run the site, and they only handle your information to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: stores accounts and quiz progress, and handles sign-in.
- Vercel: hosts the website.
- Google: only if you choose "Continue with Google."
We'd only share information beyond this if the law required it.
How it's protected
Every account's progress is locked so that only that account can read or change it, and passwords are never stored in readable form. No website can promise perfect security, but we collect as little as possible so there's less to protect.
Deleting your information
You can delete your account anytime: sign in, click Account settings at the bottom of any page, then Delete my account. That permanently removes your account and all of your saved progress. You can also email kovrioapp@gmail.com and we'll do it for you. Anonymous usage counts aren't tied to your account and can't be traced back to you.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change is big, we'll make it clear on the site.
